Welcome to
Re-Centering Southeastern Archaeology
An Equitability Project
The Re-Centering Southeastern Archaeology bibliography is a way to increase knowledge and citations of publications by archaeologists and scholars that identify as Black, Indigenous, LatinX, people of color, women, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, and the intersection of any and all of these identities. The scope especially pertains to the Southeastern United States, but contributions by scholars working in other regions are welcome so as to increase the theoretical and methodological scope and cross-disciplinary nature of our work.
The goals of this bibliography:
- Community-sourced – users submit their recent publications and reports;
- Dynamic – updated quarterly or sooner, depending on user submissions;
- Informative – bibliographic sources for each entry; annotations or abstracts where available/applicable; and
- Searchable – word clouds, tags, titles, authors, states, sites, time periods.
